And the winner is: my scientist friend, Carol. She correctly guessed the first movie, "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" and came amazingly close to getting the second title. Amazing for someone who doesn't actually speak or read Chinese. But, as a scientist, mathmetician (at least a mathmetician to me), and language lover like me, she used her Chinese radical dictionary to uncover the meanings. "CTHD" was easy, she said becasue she was familiar with the character for "dragon". The second movie, "King of Masks" was more puzzling. She came up with "changing faces" or "change face". which, if you see the movie, is a good translation! A (sur)prize is coming to you, Carol.

I couldn't guess from your illustration, but Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon is one of my favorites too!
